The Pannon Egészségipari Klaszter (Pannon Health Industry Cluster) was established in 2008 to support its members’ research and development activitities in health industries, with focuses on pharmaceutical research, development of ergonomic furniture and sensomotoric devices. The rationale behind clustering was the revelation that a cooperation between business ventures, researchers and designers could result in higher effectiveness if the management of the technical and financial tasks are assigned to a separate coordinative organisation. Thus, all projects of the cluster are managed by the cluster management, as a central hub.

The objective of the cluster framework is to boost innovation and to support its business utilisation by promoting networked cooperations of businesses and other bodies so as to better serve market needs and to gain sustainable advantages in markets.
